Political prisoner honors Kazemi and Haj Aqaei

NCRI – A young prominent Iranian political prisoner has written a letter honoring the memories of two activists recently executed by the Iranian regime, telling the regime that it cannot escape being overthrown even if it executes the last of freedom-lovers in prison, according to Harana news agency on Friday.

Behrouz Javid Tehrani is the only prominent student activist still imprisoned after the July 1999 student uprising.

He was honoring the memories of Jafar Kazemi, 47, and Mohammad Ali Haj Aqaei, 52, whom the regime executed on Monday, January 25. They were both executed for visiting their loved ones in Camp Ashraf, home to 3,400 Iranian political dissidents, as well as for participating in the 2009 uprisings.

Excerpts of Mr. Javid Tehrani’s letter is as follows:

I am writing this letter to you from a different world in circumstances where we have been deprived of telephone contacts or communications with other prisoners. At the time of writing, I still haven’t figured out how to transfer this letter to the outside. When I was outside the prison, I sometimes had to choose between writing and taking action. But now that I am in prison I have no other choice but to write.

The news of the hanging of two other political prisoners, Jafar Kazemi and Mohammad Ali Haj Aqaei, has saddened all 60 of us at Rajaishahr (Gohardasht) prison’s Hall 12.

I am at awe: By resorting to such fanatical and brutal acts, does the murderous regime ruling Iran intend to prove to all its despicable and horrid way of thinking or its ability to commit such acts of cruelty?

The henchmen should know that their way of thinking is wrong. You are following in the footsteps of thousands of other dictators who have been overthrown. Be certain that even if you execute the last freedom-loving woman or man in prison, and thus leave memories of them as bitter dreams in your minds but heroes in the minds of everyone else in the world, you will still have to deal with an arisen population in Iran.
