Political prisoner families protest in front of Evin

NCRI – A group of families of political prisoners staged a protest gathering in front of the infamous Evin prison in Tehran on Saturday, according to reports.

The relatives especially expressed concern for the situation of prisoners on death row, demanding to meet with their loved ones.

The families resisted against the threats and pressures by the Iranian regime’s agents, in some instances clashing with the suppressive forces. Regime agents injured at least three people.

Reports from other cities in Iran reveal that the clerical regime is increasingly fearful of growing popular protests.

According to some Air Force personnel in Tehran, the regime has already instructed the personnel to be on full alert for an upcoming important religious holiday and the anniversary of the 1979 revolution on February 11, when more protests are expected.
