On the second day of her visit to Germany, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), visited the Holocaust Memorial in Berlin on Tuesday.

Members of German Bundestag including Mr. Andreas Schmidt, Chair of the Judicial Committee; Mr. Hermann-Josef Scharf and Mrs. Anette Hübinger as well as political and human rights personalities accompanied Mrs. Rajavi in the visit.

Paying homage to the victims of the Holocaust by the leader of the Iranian opposition reflects the capacity and resolve of the Iranian people and their true representatives to establish a democratic and tolerant state in Iran as well as peace and coexistence in the Middle East region.

On the contrary, the Iranian regime's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has repeatedly denied the Holocaust, obstructed the path to peace in the Middle East and called for annihilation of Israel.

Yesterday, 150 members of the Bundestag from different political parties undertook the unprecedented initiative to lend support to the call by Mrs. Rajavi for democratic change in Iran. The German lawmakers emphasized that removing the obstacles placed in the path of the Iranian Resistance is a "response to an imperative for international peace." The lawmakers called for a firm policy against the clerical regime and support for the Resistance’s plan for Iran.
