Iraqi jurists reject terror designation of Iranian Mojahedin

NCRI – In a joint declaration by more than 12,000 Iraqi Jurists and lawyers, terrorist designation of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran was rejected. The declaration called for removal of the PMOI from the list of terrorist organizations.

The Iraqi jurists and lawyers expressed their readiness to defend the Mojahedin in any court in light of 20 years of experience with them in Iraq.

The declaration also emphasized the nationwide support by the Iraqi people for the PMOI and their 40 years of struggle against dictatorship in Iran and offered their respect for Mr. Massoud Rajavi and Mrs. Maryam Rajavi leaders of the Iranian Resistance.

The Iraqi jurists testified: "The Mojahedin had no involvement in Iraqi internal affairs and therefore allegations of PMOI involvement in suppression of Iraqi Kurds and Shiites are absolute lies and have been fabricated by the Iranian regime to tarnish the image of the Iranian Resistance."
