Iraqi groups blame Iran regime for bombing a passenger bus

Iran regime the only beneficiary of terrorism in Iraq - Iraqi groups NCRI – The Islamic Party of Iraq in Diyala province issued a statement condemning the massacre of innocent Iraqi laborers who worked in Ashraf City and characterized it as a crime serving the interests of Iranian regime.

"The Islamic Party of Iraq, Khalis branch, condemns in the strongest terms this heinous and cowardly act that resulted in the death and injuries of dozens of innocent Iraqi young workers hired to work in Ashraf City," said the statement.

The incident occurred when an explosion ripped through a bus carrying some 44 young Iraqi workers to Ashraf city, where People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran is based.

The statement concludes, "We stress that no one, except the Iranian regime, would benefit from killing defenseless workers. May God have mercy on the souls of the victims."

Iraq’s National Human Rights Organization also condemned the bombing of the commuter bus and said it was the work of Iranian regime’s elements in Iraq.

"This terrorist act took place following Iranian regime’s recent threat against the PMOI’s presence in Iraq and is another terrorist act along all other similar ones that the Iranian regime has been planning and perpetrating in Iraq. The bombing happens exactly a day after the mullahs’ foreign minister left Iraq," said the human rights group.

"Iraq’s National Human Rights Organization once again condemns the bombing and offers condolences to the people of Diyala province."
