NCRI – On March 22, hundreds of Iranians and Resistance sympathizers gathered in front of the Dutch Parliament in The Hague. They protested against the EU Council of Ministers’ defiance of the ruling of the Court of First Instance which has annulled the inclusion of the People’s Mojahedin Organisation of Iran (PMOI) in the EU terrorist list. The demonstrators then marched towards the British embassy, which according to reports is pressing the EU to unlawfully maintain the PMOI in the list.

MPs and political personalities from several political parties came to express their support for implementation of the Court ruling and the Iranian Resistance.

The Iranian community in Holland was represented by Several associations including Iranian academics, Iranian Women, Iranian Youth and Association in Defence of Refugees Rights. They announced that 15,000 Dutch have signed a petition demanding the EU Council to comply with the Court ruling.

Senator Tiny Kox, leader of the socialist party parliamentary group in the Senate, addressed the rally. I have come here today, to express our party’s strong support for the third option proposed by Mrs. Maryam Radjavi, the NCRI’s president-elect, he said. We completely agree with her when she says that the only possible solution to the Iranian crisis, especially in front of the nuclear ambitions of this regime, is to support the National council of Resistance of Iran, and not a foreign military intervention or maintaining the failed policy of negotiations that has only  resulted to western concessions to the mullahs’ regime.

Senator Cox stressed that the first serious measure to support the Iranian opposition for a democratic change in Iran, is to apply the European Court ruling by removing the terror tag from the People’s Mojahedin.

Dowlat norouzi, NCRI representative in Great-Britain also addressed the rally. She thanked the 15.000 Dutch who signed a declaration in support of the résistance. She added that recently 1000 MPs from several European countries had supported a similar declaration, demanding the implementation of the judgement of the EU by removing the PMOI from the terror list.

She added that the demonstrators were urging the Dutch FM to reject the Council of Ministers illegal decision to maintain the PMOI on the black list and instead to comply with the ruling of the EU Court.
