Iranian Resistance rings in New Year in Auvers-sur-Oise

NCRI – Residents of the Parisian suburb of Auvers-sur-Oise and supporters of the Iranian Resistance in France on Sunday gathered to celebrate the New Year and show their support for the Iranian opposition members in camps Ashraf and Liberty in Iraq.

Large numbers of French citizens and dozens of Mayors, Parliamentarians and dignitaries attended the gathering in the town which hosts the headquarters of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI).

The keynote speaker Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the NCRI’s President-elect, said that 2012 was a rich year full of achievements for the Iranian people and their Resistance, and 2013 is a year of efforts for regime change and gaining international recognition for the Iranian Resistance as the alternative to the mullahs’ regime.

A video message produced by the residents of Ashraf was shown which took the participants through a virtual tour of Ashraf.  The Ashraf residents expressed their gratitude to the people of France and their representatives for their relentless support.

The French Mayors pledged to continue their support for the rights of the Ashraf and Liberty residents in 2013.
