Iranian regime’s Ambassador to Azarbaijan was summoned for the recent threat by the regime’s army chief of staff

NCRI – The ministry of foreign affairs of Azerbaijan Republic has summoned Bagher Bahrami, Iranian Ambassador in Baku, capital of Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijani news agency, Turan, reported on August 12th that the reason for summoning Bahrami was to notify the regime the objection of Azerbaijan to the threats by Hassan Firouzabadi, Iranian army’s joint chief of staff.

An Iranian news agency, Mehr, published Firouzabadi’s comments, in which, the Iranian army’s joint chief of staff warned Ilham Aliyev, Azerbaijan’s president, that a “dark end” is awaiting him.

Firouzabadi had said that “Unfortunately, some of the Muslim neighbouring countries, which we have good relations with, do not maintain the criteria of friendship. They let the Zionists hands open in the country, and provide directives banning divine precepts among Muslims.”

Turan news agency reported that Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs called the statements of Firouzabadi “irresponsible libel of the Iranian authorities.” and that it was “contrary to the obligations of both countries,” Azerbaijan and Iran.
