Iranian regime imposes more restrictions on political prisoners

NCRI – The Iranian regime’s prison agents have intensified controls over political prisoners to reduce communications among inmates.

Political prisoners transferred to clinic for treatment are now being accompanied by agents so they can watch over communications.

On Thursday, one political prisoner, Arjang Davoudi, was accompanied by prison guards to the clinic at Hall 12, Ward 4 of Gohardasht Prison in Karaj. He is reported to be severely ill.

Mr. Davoudi is not allowed full treatment.

The number of the regime’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS) agents in prisons have also increased to step up pressures and create inhumane restrictions for political prisoners.

One agent imposing the pressures and committing abuses is identified as Farajinezhad, the deputy intelligence officer of Gohardasht Prison.

Farajinezhad is a well-known torturer at the prison and his inhumane role in committing torture against political prisoners has been documented. He has been involved in murder, rape, beatings, and other forms of cruel torture.
