Iran: Worldwide campaign to save life of a political prisoner

Iran: Worldwide campaign to save life of a political prisonerNCRI – International campaign to save the life of Mr. Valiollah Feiz-Mahdavi, a political prisoner in Iran, spreads as the deadline for his execution draws closer.

Iranian communities across the world have send letters of appeal to international human rights organizations and governments to intervene and stop the death sentence against Mr. Feiz-Mahdavi to be carried out. The latest appeals have been sent out by Iranian communities in the U.S. from Minnesota, Texas and Colorado; in Denmark from Copenhagen and Arhus; in Sweden from Stockholm and Gothenburg; in Germany from Berlin, Hamburg and Cologne; and from Italy and Australia.

There have also been many rallies throughout the world to appeal to public to raise their voices and condemn human rights violations in Iran and help save the life of Mr. Feiz-Mahdavi. The events have already taken place in Dallas, Houston, Berkeley, San Jose, Ottawa, Sydney, London, Birmingham, Hamburg, Berlin, Cologne, Rome, Stockholm, Gothenburg, Copenhagen, Arhus, Oslo and Brussels.

The Iranian Resistance has called upon all international organizations and authorities, especially the United Nations Human Rights Council and the High Commissioner for Human Rights, to take urgent actions to stop the execution of Mr. Feiz-Mahdavi. It also urged the dispatch of a fact-finding mission to Iran to investigate the dreadful situation of Iranian political prisoners.
