Iran: Rights abuses condemned by European Union

Valiollah Feiz-MahdaviNCRI – In a statement by the EU’s Austrian Presidency on Friday, human rights abuses by the clerical regime in Iran was condemned.

The statement by the European states expressed "serious concern" over the state of human rights in particular "the general increase in executions" in Iran.

In recent weeks the state-run media in Iran have reported many cases of executions including a woman and a death sentence against a 17-year-old boy.

In the meantime the political prisoners in Iran are facing imminent threat of executions specially those affiliated to the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran. Valiollah Feiz-Mahdavi has already received his death warrant and is set to be executed on May 16. There has been a worldwide campaign to save his life and as it is drawing closer concerns are rising over his plight.
