Iran regime's terrorism in Iraq condemned in Sydney rallyNCRI – Terrorist meddling in Iraq and bombing of water pipelines by agents of Iranian clerical regime in Iraq were condemned in a rally in Sydney, Australia.

Iranians and supporters of the Iranian Resistance at the rally also condemned the massacre of some 30,000 political prisoners in Iran in summer of 1988 following a ceasefire in the Gulf War.

The water pipelines from the Tigris River to Ashraf City in Iraq, the residence of members of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran, was blown up by agents of the mullahs’ inhumane regime twice in July. This left thousands of people in Ashraf and surrounding villages without water at the heat of 50 degrees centigrade.

Protesters called on the international bodies to condemn mullahs’ terrorism and reiterated that the PMOI members in Iraq were “protected persons” under the Fourth Geneva Convention and their rights should be respected accordingly. They also condemned mullahs’ pressures on the Iraqi government to expel PMOI and called the UN High Commissioner for Refugees and the government of Iraq to reaffirm the political refugee status of the PMOI members in Iraq.
