Iran MEK Supporters Pay Tribute to PS752 Victims in Sweden and Germany

Stockholm-0J1A5294-1

Following a call to protest by the Iranian opposition, the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) and the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), members of the Iranian diaspora and the MEK and NCRI supporters held rallies in Stockholm and Hamburg.

Today’s rallies were the first of a series of demonstrations in dozens of cities in Europe, the U.S., and Canada.

These rallies were held in commemoration of the victims of the PS752 passenger jet, downed deliberately by the regime’s Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) in January 2018. Tehran has so far escaped accountability and dodged justice for this crime against humanity. Due to the world community’s failure to hold Tehran accountable for its ongoing human rights violations, the regime has been enjoying systematic impunity despite committing crimes such as massacring 30,000 political prisoners in 1988, the slaughter of 1,500 Iranians in November 2018, and the colossal casualties of the Coronavirus.

Protests in Sweden and Germany echoed the voice of their risen compatriots, who have been rejecting the ruling theocracy or return to monarchy and any form of dictatorship by chanting slogans such as “Death to the oppressor, be it Shah or the [supreme] leader.”

They also paid tribute to the martyrs of the nationwide Iran protests, which have lasted despite the regime’s brutal crackdown. The freedom-loving Iranians also hailed the bravery of the MEK’s Resistance Units, who have been acting as the uprising’s trailblazers.
