Iran-Iraq: Iraqi deputies discuss mullahs’ meddling in their country

NCRI – A meeting entitled “Arab dialogue” was held in Paris on October 5 with two Iraqi parliamentarians, Mohammad Hossein Avaz and Fallah Hassan Zeidan, from the Iraqi Front for National Dialogue. Other participants included political figures from Syria, Egypt, Palestine and Algeria. Representatives of NGOs and of Arab media were also present.

In part of his speech, one of the Iraqi deputies stated that support by 5.2 million Iraqis showed that Iraqi people were more and more aware of the devastating effects of the meddling of Tehran. This support also indicates that they believe it is necessary to unite with the Iranian Resistance and the PMOI to confront the conspiracies and the crimes of the Iranian regime. He then stressed that the only way to establish democracy in Iraq was through mullahs’ ouster in Tehran, the Iraqi anti-fundamentalist, nationalist and democratic front and the PMOI.

Fallah Hassan Zeidan blamed the militia forces backed by the Iranian regime for the current insecurity in Iraq, many members of which sadly constitute the structure of numerous Iraqi ministries today, even at a managerial level.

M. Zeidan explained in detail the interference of the mullahs’regime during the last election polls in Iraq and added: “The regime of Iran did not content itself with that, it also built secret centers to put into practice its torture and terror policy and to create an atmosphere of fear. For instance, we discovered the prison of Jaderieh in Baghdad run by officers of the Iranian regime’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS) – who spoke only Persian.”

Mr. Zeidan added: “The People’s Mojahedin had never interfered in the internal affairs of our country all along their 20 years stay in Iraq and that all they had from them was brotherhood and frienship. They kept on supporting and encouraging us to take part in the political process. We insist not only on their rights as political refugees, but we also defend Ashraf City which protects them from all dangers, by all possible means in Parliament and in the society.”

The Iraqi deputies called on international organizations and Arab countries to condemn mullahs’ meddling in Iraq and lend support to the national and democratic forces of that country.
