NCRI – Families of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (MEK/PMOI) martyrs and political prisoners, supporters of (MEK/PMOI), in Tehran, Shahrekord, Tabriz and Mashhad issued statements in support of the political prisoner, Maryam Akbari Monfared… and called for her immediate and unconditional release.

Excerpts of the statement by families of MEK/PMOI martyrs in Mashhad:

“We, a group of families of MEK/PMOI martyrs of 1980s in Mashhad declare our support for the political prisoner Maryam Akbari Monfared. Her demands for justice and lawsuit for the victims of 1988 massacre of political prisoners is also our demand and our complaint.

“We the families of MEK/PMOI martyrs in Mashhad demand immediate and unconditional release of Maryam Akbari Monfared and call on all international human rights bodies and activists and all freedom-loving people across the world to support us in our legitimate demands for the release of all political prisoners particularly Maryam Akbari Monfared.”

Excerpts of the statement by families of MEK/PMOI martyrs and political prisoners in Shahrekord:

“We a group of supporters of the MEK/PMOI in Shahrekord commend and appreciate steadfastness of Maryam Akbari Monfared, incarcerated in the mullahs’ regime prison in Iran, and call on our compatriots and all international human rights organizations to protest restrictions imposed on her and other political prisoners and demand their unconditional release.”

Excerpts of the statement by families of MEK/PMOI martyrs in Tabriz:

“We, a group of families of MEK/PMOI martyrs in Tabriz support the political prisoner, Maryam Akbari Monfared, and demand her immediate and unconditional release from the prison.

“The political prisoner, Maryam Akbari Monfared, who (by filing an official complaint) demanded trial of the murderers of her brothers and sister during the massacre of political prisoners in 1988 in Iran, is now facing the wrath of Iranian regime authorities such that she is now denied any medical treatment (and family visit). We call on all international organs and human rights bodies to press the Iranian regime for her immediate release.”
