Iran exiles rip ‘Terminator’ Ahmadinejad’s invite to UN

Iranian-Americans yesterday blasted Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's invitation to address the United Nations tomorrow, and urged participants to walk out on his speech.

"He's a murderer! They took my 19-year-old brother and killed him," said Allen Tasslimi, a member of the Association of Iranian-Americans.

Tasslimi said the recent disputed elections in Iran — and the subsequent government crackdown and killings of demonstrators — have exposed Ahmadinejad and his corrupt regime to the world.
Ali Safavi of the National Council of Resistance of Iran said President Obama and other Western chiefs should engage the Iranian people and dissident leaders, not Ahmadinejad.

To do otherwise would play into the hands of the world's chief sponsor of terrorism, who is trying to build a nuclear bomb, he said.

"Ahmadinejad is known in Iran as the 'Terminator' — and not because he resembles Arnold Schwarzenegger," Safavi said.
