Iran-EU: Remove all restrictions against People’s Mojahedin – Czech MEP

Jaroslav ZVĚŘINA, a member of the European Parliament from the Czech RepublicNCRI – “This great rally that you have here in the capital of Europe shows that the Iranian people are very determined to achieve their freedom.” These were the words of Mr. Jaroslav ZVĚŘINA, a member of the European Parliament from the Czech Republic, in his speech to  the rally on November 7 in Brussels in support to the Iranian Resistance and the call to refer Iran’s nuclear file to the UN Security Council. The following is the partial text of his speech to the rally:
The recent remarks by Iran’s so called new president, Ahmadinejad, showed very clearly that you can not compare the Iranian rulers with any other politicians from other countries. Those are criminals that are not only suppressing their own people, but also want to export Islamic fundamentalism to other countries or want to destroy other countries.
Many European members of parliaments supported today’s rally. We want to have a firm policy towards Iran and the first step will be to send Iran’s nuclear dossier to the UN Security Council.
But the strongest message that we can send to the mullahs in Iran is to have a good attitude towards the main Iranian opposition. The people’s Mojahedin who are an anti-fundamentalist movement that has existed for 40 years have become victims of this policy.
What we want from the Council of Ministers of the EU is to remove the restrictions on the Iranian opposition that was adopted to appease the mullahs. This will send the strongest massage to the rulers in Tehran and will force them to take the West more seriously.
A good attitude towards the Iranian opposition will encourage the Iranian people and will encourage them to continue their fight for democracy and freedom in Iran.
I would also express my concern for the role of the Iranian regime in Iraq. Some politicians who have visited Iraq recently say that Iraq is going through a second occupation, this time by Iran. The Iranian regime has invested large sums of money and millions of euros to make this country also an Islamic system. The main threat these days is Islamic fundamentalism. We must support the anti-fundamentalist movements.
By supporting the Iranian people and their resistance we could prevent another war in the region to take place.
I’m sure that you will achieve your goal for democracy. Because you are trying very hard and your determination will of course result in your victory.
