Clerical regime’s forces suppressed teachers peaceful protest

NCRI  – To protest non-payment and the recent arrests, teachers nationwide announced a peaceful gathering in front of the majlis (parliament) on Tuesday, May 8th and Wednesday, May 9th. On Tuesday May 8th, regime’s State Security Forces brutally attacked and assaulted the peaceful demonstrators in front of the mullah’s majlis (parliament) in Baharestan.

In this gathering two of the regime’s thugs who were carrying batons started beating the protestors. A number of police and intelligence officers arrested some of the teachers and transferred them to jails. The protest continued until 5 p.m. The teachers shouted: “the imprisoned teachers must be freed.”

The teachers came from all over Iran to take part in the protest. While encountering State Security Forces in the streets of central Tehran (Istanbul crossing and Pole-Rumi), the teachers shouted slogans of “freedom”.

According to the reports received by NCRI, the suppressive forces transferred 5 women teachers from Tehran and Mashhad to the “social corruption” office (Vozara building). Names of some of the arrested teachers are as follows:

3. Ms. Safari
4. Mr. Akbar Raeiszadeh, high school teacher from Tehran’s 2nd district
5. Mr. Mansoor Mirzaei, high school teacher from Yazd
6. Mr. Mojtaba Abtahi, high school teacher from Khomeini Shahr in Isfahan
7. Mr. Mostafa Ghahremani-Gol, high school teacher from Tehran’s 12th district
8. Mr. Mansoor Abdolhamidi, high school teacher from Tehran’s 9th district
9. Mr. Hemat Shabani, high school teacher from Kermanshah
10. Mr. Yusef Gholamrezaei, high school teacher from Tehran’s 4th district
11. Mr. Akbar Akbari, high school teacher from Tehran’s 4th district
12. Mr. Ahmad Ghanbari, high school teacher from Tehran’s 4th district
13. Mr. Saeed Tadayoni, high school teacher from Tehran’s 13th district
14. Mr. Gholamreza Shiravani, high school teacher from Falaverjon
15. Mr. Esmaeil Rasoulkhani, high school teacher from Robatkarim’s 2nd district
