The state-run news agency, Fars, reported that the sentence to stone Ashraf Kalhori, 37, mother of 4, was halted by the head of mullahs’ judiciary.
Women’s Committee of the National Council of Resistance of Iran reported on July 27 that Ms. Kalhori was sentenced to death by stoning and subsequently called on international human rights bodies to intervene to stop the sentence to go ahead.
