International Conference in Paris on August 3- with Arab Spring Against the Mullahs’ Fundamentalism

Dignitaries from across the Muslim and Arab world to condemn Iranian regime’s growing meddling and warmongering in the region

Call for guaranteeing security of Liberty residents and their return to Ashraf

PARIS, July 30, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — On Saturday, August 3rd, representatives from Muslim countries will gather at an international conference in Paris to strongly condemn the clerical regime’s warmongering in Syria and Iraq, and its criminal meddling in other countries in the region. The conference will warn of the disastrous consequences of this meddling and will discuss practical steps to counter it.

Representatives from the Muslim community in France will have an extensive presence at the conference, organized by the Arabic-Islamic Committee in Defense of Ashraf Residents, on the occasion of holy month of Ramadan. Sid Ahmed Ghozali, the former Prime Minister of Algeria, is the President of the Committee.

Delegations from 31 countries in the Middle and Near East and North Africa, including Syria, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Palestine, Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Yemen, Kuwait, Bahrain, Lebanon, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Mauritania and Libya will participate in the gathering.

The participating delegations will include members of parliament, political dignitaries, religious jurisprudents, judges, human rights and women’s rights activists. The delegations from Syria and Egypt will be among the largest and most diverse.

The participants will express their support for the residents of Camp Ashraf and Camp Liberty, the place of residence of members of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) in Iraq, and they will urge the international community to take the necessary steps to guarantee their safety and security, including the immediate return of Liberty residents to Ashraf.

Despite repeated assurances by the UN and the US, Camp Liberty has been subject to three rocket attacks by agents of the mullahs’ regime with collaboration of the Government of Iraq in the past few months, killing 10 of the defenseless residents and wounding 170 of them.

In this international conference, which will take place on the eve of the inauguration of Hassan Rowhani as the mullahs’ new president, participating personalities will give their views on the prospects for Iran after Rowhani takes office.
