Dr. Raj Baldev, Cosmo Theorist, who is also the Lead Man of God Believers (GBA) in their governing body meeting, expressed satisfaction from humanitarian point of view that at least some interim relief has been given to the PMOI by the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia by rejecting the designation of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran as a terrorist group.

Dr. Raj Baldev, Cosmo Theorist and Lead Man of God Believers Association (GBA) has written to Hillary Clinton, US Secretary of States, urging her to help delisting PMOI from the list of terroirst organization permanently through the judicial process so as to enable this body to help bring a real democracy in Iran, which the people long for."

“It is equally a great court direction for the residents of Camp Ashraf living in Iraq for many years, since they are affiliated with the PMOI in their struggle for democracy in Iran and this may also serve as a relief to them, Dr. Raj Baldev, Cosmo Theorist, said.

It was former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice who had been maintaining PMOI in the FTO list. The PMOI was unjustifiably placed on the list of Foreign Terrorist Organizations; and the court has now desired to review the entire matter in view of certain clauses, which are weak enough to make an organization to be treated or declared as a terror organization; hence the matter has been ordered to be reviewed.

The court has recently found that it lacked sufficient evidence as per their finding. In the opinion of the court, the authorities have violated due process of law and it is therefore unlawful’ hence the court remanded the case back to the State Department for reviewing the matter in the interest of justice, which seemed to have been denied to the PMOI.
The victory of the PMOI in a U.S. appeals court on the designation of PMOI has received a great welcome particularly from the Iranian communities abroad and also from the residents of Camp Ashraf in Iraq who are affiliated with the PMOI in their struggle for democracy in Iran.

In 1965, MEK was formed by a group of Iranian college students as an Islamic political movement. Grounded in the democratic tradition of Iran’s Constitutional Revolution, the ideals of Premier Mohammed Mossadeq, and the pro-democracy protests of the 1960s, the organization held a liberal interpretation of Islam.

“The verdict announced by the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia, rejecting the designation of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) as a terrorist group by the former Secretary of State, is a great step in ending a great injustice which has been harming the Iranian people for a long time and this shall also give some relief to the residents of Camp Ashraf, Iraq who are affiliated with the PMOI. Dr. Raj Baldev, Cosmo Theorist said.
“God Believers Association, (GBA) has classified it a great relief from justice point of view.

Dr. Raj Baldev, Cosmo Theorist, said, “The court’s decision by delisting the PMOI from the list of FTO, shall most certainly make a big contribution to real democracy in Iran and peace in the region.”

The PMOI designation is not only used in the path of violating the rights of the members and supporters of the PMOI as the democratic opposition of the Iranian regime but has also been exploited to justify the execution of their members and supporters inside Iran, and during the past seven years, this label has been a tool to suppress the residents of Camp Ashraf in Iraq and with this verdict they may have a sigh of relief.

Othere Hon.’ble members of the God Believers (GBA) who spoke on the matter were Mr. JP Jain, Supreme Court Advocate Mr. Charan Lal Sahu, the author of Presidents of America and India, and also Shahsi Kala, the office bearer of the GBA and the members gave a standing ovation to them.
