Lawmakers sympathetic to the Iranian Resistance also reiterated the significance of the victory of the Iranian Resistance’s political and legal campaign, which led to the removal of the PMOI and the NCRI from the BfV’s list of foreign extremist organizations. Professor Hassemer, former Deputy Judge at the Supreme Court of Germany, which is the country’s highest judicial authority, had written a legal opinion which contributed to the removal of the PMOI and NCRI from the list.
Ms. Hille Gosejacob-Rolf, Chairwoman of the German Committee for Solidarity with a Free Iran, which represents dozens of members of the Bundestag, said, “Our long and arduous battle was successful.”
Ms. Gosejacob-Rolf, who is also the Chairwoman of Germany’s Social Workers’ Union, added, “This was an extraordinary achievement and is beyond anything we can explain in simple terms. I think this was the result of two main factors: First and foremost, the exemplary and valuable legal opinion of Professor Hassemer; And, second, the relentless and untiring activities which we launched together.”
German personalities welcome recent BfV report against regime’s intelligence activities“In a word, we have to say that we achieved a victory after a very long and arduous battle, and I am very happy for it.”
Ms. Gabriele Hiller, a German parliamentarian, congratulated the Iranian Resistance and the PMOI for having the unjust limitations finally removed and added, “I am very pleased that the PMOI can now freely conduct its activities as a political organization in Germany.”
“It was incumbent upon politicians to rectify this and they had to do it sooner. It was our request for years, particularly the June 17th Association’s request, which also participated in the hunger strike for Ashraf and had demanded the removal of the PMOI from the BfV list. We are extremely pleased that the PMOI and the resistance against the Iranian regime have been delisted. This will result in more support in the future for those who are resisting against this regime in Germany.”
