NCRI – In a conference titled “Future of Democracy in Iran and Clerical Regime’s Role in the Region and Iraq”, French personalities condemned export of terrorism and suppressive policies of the mullah’s regime. They noted that the only solution to solve the problem posed by Iran is to support the third option put forth by Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI).
In the conference in the town of Vesoul in France sponsored by “Society for Peace Advancement”, Senator Jean-Pierre Michel, a founding member of the French Committee for Democratic Iran, stated that tolerating the Iranian regime is totally unacceptable.
Senator Michele said that the international community faces several options. One is a military solution like the one used by the U.S. in Afghanistan and Iraq. Another is to tolerate the regime and surrender to it. But the only reasonable one is a third option which is supporting the Iranian Resistance to bring down this regime. We must help the resistance movement. We should not expel its members or name them terrorists only to appease the mullah’s regime.
Senator Jean-Pierre Michel reiterated: I must pay tribute to Mrs. Maryam Rajavi who has united the democratic opposition. We must stay alongside our Iranian friends who are moving forward with their just resistance.
He sharply criticized the policy of the former French government that abused the Iranian Resistance in order to appease the mullah’s regime. He said: This is a void case, I used to be a judge and I am familiar with these procedures. They are prolonging the issue to conceal the truth that will result in the condemnation of the mullah’s regime and demonstrate the Iranian Resistance’s innocence.
The former deputy minister for foreign affairs, Alain Vivien who is the founding member of the governmental Committee against Sect, stated: With the inclusion of the Iranian Resistance in the terror list, they are trying to block the activities of the Iranian people.
He continued: Why is it that at a time when everyone is condemning the mullahs, our governments are appeasing them? Clearly we take benefits from deals with the mullahs and we are pressured by trade and industrial groups. It is unacceptable.
In his speech, Afshin Alavi, from the NCRI Foreign Affairs Committee, talked about Iranian regime’s meddling in Iraq. He said the only solution to counter these interferences is to establish a coalition of Iraqi groups formed around Ashraf City and the People’s Mojahedin of Iran.
