Former Algerian PM: US court decision “splendid triumph” for the PMOI

Former Algerian PM: US court decision "splendid triumph" for the PMOINCRI – Following the victory of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) at the US Court of Appeals in Washington D.C. on July 16, the former Prime Minister of Algeria sent a message to the PMOI and its supporters, congratulating them on their legal success.

In his message, Sid Ahmed Ghozali said, “This [court decision] marked a splendid triumph for the PMOI, its leaders, members and followers. I gladly congratulate them and thank God for remembering those who He loves. And, God bestows His love upon you.”

Mr. Ghozali added, “This victory will undoubtedly make the faltering regime in Iran more furious. So, one must remain alert about that.”

“I am certain that we have hit the enemy’s last stronghold,” the former Algerian PM added.

On July 16, the Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia ordered the State Department in a 22-page ruling to review the PMOI’s designation, saying that the organization’s due process protections were violated while casting a shadow of doubt on the veracity of the Secretary’s allegations against the organization.
