EU policy on Iran slammed by Scottish Euro MP

NCRI (Brussels) – On Wednesday, in a debate in the European Parliament on violations of human rights and the nuclear activities by the Iranian regime Scots MEP Struan Stevenson blasted the EU’s policy of appeasement towards mullahs in Tehran.

"Instead of backing appeasement, we should back the legitimate Iranian opposition. Instead of keeping the PMOI on the EU terror list, we should put the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps and the Qods (Jerusalem) Force on the EU terror list", Mr. Stevenson said.

On Thursday, the European Parliament adopted a resolution, condemning systematic and flagrant violations of human rights in Iran and underscoring the rulings of the European Court of Justice, and the UK Court (Proscribed Organizations Appeal Commission) which annulled the designation of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) in the EU terror list. It called for the removal of PMOI from the terror list.
