In an interview with French Culture radio, Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, said, “The only solution to the crisis posed by the clerical regime is democratic change by the Iranian people and their organized resistance movement.”
She added, “We believe that a pluralist democracy based on the separation of church and state is an imperative for freedom and democracy in Iran.”
The radio said, “In circumstances where uprisings have taken place in Tunisia and Egypt, the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) is seeing the spring of freedom for Iran on the horizon.”
“The exiled Iranian opposition seeks to end the Iranian regime,” the radio said.
“The NCRI and the PMOI are advancing an international campaign.”
