A faithful friend of the Iranian Resistance passes away

NCRI – A faithful friend of the Iranian Resistance, Dr. Mandana Alijani passed away in London on April 6 at the age of 32 after a long period of sickness.

As an Active member of the Iranian Resistance, Mandana showed an endless devotion in denouncing the mullahs’ dictatorship by organizing many events. She fervently defended the Resistance and the PMOI in Ashraf City. She was an example of determination, courage, and sense of responsibility for the Iranian community in Great-Britain, and especially for the younger generation.

Maryam Rajavi, President Elect of the Iranian Resistance, while offering her deep condolences to her family, has praised Mandana as a hero of the present time whose memory will last forever.

After June 17, 2003 and the shameful attack against the office of the National Council of Resistance of Iran in Auvers-sur-Oise, she went to France in defence of Maryam Rajavi and joined the hunger strike there. She helped the strikers tirelessly.

She struggled against a lung cancer for three years in a manner that stunned her doctors. She did not surrender even for a moment in this struggle. Mandana constantly did her best for the Resistance.

The Iranian Resistance offers its most sincere sympathies to her family, especially to her mother, and to all her resistance friends in England and throughout the world.
