Second Iranian regime reporter defects in recent months

NCRI – In the latest sign of defections and a trend of demoralization in a variety of the ‎clerical regime’s organs and institutions, the state-run Jahan News reported this week that ‎a second reporter from the Iranian regime’s Mehr news agency has fled the country.‎

Jahan News did not name the reporter, but wrote, “Reports indicate that he fled to ‎Turkey last Saturday and is seeking refugee status from either the US or one of the ‎European countries.”‎

Several months ago, there were reports that the head of Mehr’s photography had fled the ‎country as well.‎
