Reports obtained by the network of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI, Mujahedin-e Khalq or MEK) confirms the Iranian people’s general boycott of the Iranian regime’s parliamentary elections farce. This is a positive answer to the call made by Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the president-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) to boycott the regime’s sham parliamentary elections.
Reports by the MEK network confirm that until noon local time, four hours after the voting started, there were only a few voters at polling stations. In a bid to show large crowds, the regime has been bussing the personnel of the IRGC, Army, and State Security Force to a number of polling stations.

These same drivers have been protesting their poor living and work conditions every day.” Yet, the Iranian regime’s leaders and organs from all factions and grouping, terrified of a widespread boycott, have been appealing for people’s participation in the sham election. Today, when casting their vote, the regime’s leaders, including supreme leader Ali Khamenei, regime’s president Hassan Rouhani, Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli, Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani, and Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, again appealed to the people to vote.

NCRI’s statement, Iran-Sham Election, No. 6 wrote, “According to reports from thousands of polling stations nationwide, including in Tehran, Karaj, Shahriar, Robat Karim, Islamshahr, Qods, Isfahan, Baharestan, Najafabad, Golpaygan, Zarinshahr, Yazdanshahr, Lamerd, Dasht-e Arjan, Firouzabad, Zahedan, Sonqor, Neyshabour, Mashhad, Shahr-e Kord, Kazeroun, Dalahou, Hamedan, Kermanshah, Qazvin, Alvand, Na’ein, Yazd, Yassouj, Malayer, Rasht, Sari, Nowshahr, Babol, Babolsar, Tabriz, Miyaneh, Daylaman, Dehdasht, Shush, Behbahan, Bukan, Azadshahr, Khorramabad, Kouhdasht, Semnan, Qeshm Island, and Bandar Kangan, the Iranian people have completely boycotted the mullahs’ election masquerade.
In a nutshell, the regime’s attempts to use its sham parliamentary elections as means to legitimize its rule have failed. On the other hand, it confirms the Iranian people’s will of overthrowing the regime.
