IRGC official admits uprisings target entire regime and IRGC

NCRI – A senior official of the Iranian regime’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has lashed out at rival factions, saying “psychological operations” and protests against the regime have targeted the mullahs’ Supreme Leader, the IRGC and the paramilitary Bassij.

According to the state-run Fars news agency on Wednesday, Ramezan Sharif, the IRGC’s public relations director, added, “As the media focuses on regional developments, the enemies are trying to create artificial scenes in Iran to refocus the lens on Iran.”

“That is the context in which we assess the February 14 incidents,” he added, referring to anti-regime uprisings.
