The Iranian regime’s ambassador to Germany had tried unsuccessfully to prevent the demonstration, but was told told by city officials that, ‘this is not Iran and people have a right to express their opinion’.
As the protest went ahead, demonstrators staged a mock Iranian execution, and waved banners reading, ‘Get the terrorist regime’s FM Javad Zarif out of Germany’, ‘The Security Conference is no place for murders’ and ‘Free political prisoners’.
