The protesters carrying signs reading “Political Prisoners must be freed” demanded international action to stop torture and execution of political prisoners and religious and ethnic minorities.
The protesters who included members of families of Iranian dissidents in Camp Liberty in Iraq called on the United Nations and the United States to act to protest the camp residents and guarantee the residents free access to medical care.
One big sign carried by the protesters read: “Death to Ali Khamenei and Velayat-e faqih (absolute rule of the clergy).
The Iranians supported Mrs Maryam Rajavi’s ten-point plan for future of Iran and called for democratic change in their homeland.
