NCRI – Iranians in Brussels held a protest outside EU Headquarters calling on the Union to press for the return of residents of Camp Liberty to Camp Ashraf in Iraq.
On February 9, Camp Liberty in Iraq that houses members of the People’s Mojahedin organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) came under massive rocket attack killing seven residents and wounding 100 others.
The protester who some of them have family members in Camp Liberty condemned the al-Maliki government for being complicate in the attack on the Iranian dissidents.
The protestor also chanted slogan criticizing Martin Kobler, the UN Representative in Iraq for his role in forced eviction of the residents from their 26 years home in Ashraf to Camp Liberty that lacks adequate security infrastructure. They chanted “Shame on Martin Kobler.”
