Iranians chant “Down with dictators” in celebrations for football victory

NCRI – Iranian people particularly the youths turned the football team victory celebrations into anti-regime protest by chanting slogans against the clerical regime on Tuesday following the victory of Iranian football team over South Korean team.

In Haft-houze district of Tehran thousands of youth chanted “Ahmadinejad get lost, get lost.” In Rezaeiha Square in central Tehran protesters chanted “We are all together, do not be afraid.”

In Shahrak-e Qarb area people chanted “Iran, Iran” and “Down with dictator.”

In Pasdaran street thousands of youth sang patriotic song and ridiculed the State Security Forces. The forces were afraid to stop them.

In Parkway a large crowd chanted “Free political prisoners.”

In other districts of Tehran including Tehran Pars, Narmak, Niroo-Havaei people could be heard chanting anti-regime slogans.
