Iran: The regime resorts to widespread arrests of university students

NCRI – The clerical regime in Iran has stepped up its suppressive measures in the country’s universities by engaging in widespread arrests of students.

According to information obtained from inside Iran, the regime’s security forces, plain-clothes agents, and the paramilitary Bassij carry out ‘round the clock raids in universities and campuses located in cities such as Tehran, Isfahan, Shiraz, Mashhad, Babol, Hamedan, Tabriz, and Kermanshah, and use all possible means to threaten, intimidate, and arrest students.

Despite the passing of more than two weeks since the widespread arrest of university students began in various cities, the detainees’ whereabouts still remain unknown.
