July 18, 2009- The relatives of those arrested in recent anti-government uprising in Iran cprotest in front of the Evin prison in Tehran.NCRI – On Tuesday, the relatives of those arrested in recent anti-government uprising in Iran continued their protests in front of the “Revolutionary Court” and Evin prison in Tehran. They demanded information regarding the conditions of their loved ones.

About 80 people gathered outside the Revolutionary Court in Tehran to hear the names of those detained by the regime. At approximately 9:15 am local time the names of 28 people, all of them male, were released. Among the detainees are a number of people who had been arrested for a second time since the start of the recent protests. Despite having been released on bail earlier, they were re-arrested on Friday.

Also more than 100 relatives of the detainees gathered in front of the Evin prison. Some of them have posted bail for more than a week, but their loved ones have not yet been released. They have been steered away from the Evin prison and sent to the "Revolutionary Court" or from the "Revolutionary Court" to the Evin prison repeatedly at no avail.

All the relatives who went to the Revolutionary Court have been told that the cases of their loved ones are being handled by notorious Judge Haddad and they should contact him; however, no one is given permission to meet with the Judge or even speak with him on the phone.

Hoping to determine the status of their children, the family members of the arrested wait inside and outside the "Revolutionary Court" every day from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. During the last few days, only a list of about 30 names has been released to allow them bail, but the rest of the families have to wait indefinitely for the names of their loved ones to be released.
