NCRI – The state-run Fars news agency quoted the Political Affaires Deputy Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on September 4th as saying: “Today, we are no longer talking about the threat of soft subversion; we have already entered the soft war.”
Yadollah Javani added: “Those groups, whose illegitimate demands are aimed at overthrowing the regime, find IRGC to be a nuisance in achieving their wicked wishes, and in order to increase their chance of success, their initial steps includes weakening of IRGC.”
Admitting the deepening rift within the regime, Javani said: “Today, as the Supreme Leader says, we are confronting a deep seeded conspiracy such that even some of the elite leaders are having a problem for making right decisions.”
