Iran protests – End of December

Students at Orumiyeh Industrial University stage protest on Saturday, December 28 against Basij forces fraud in the university association’s election.

Retired workers of Ahwaz pipe production factory gathered outside the public prosecutor’s office for the second time on Sunday, December 29 to protest their 6 months delayed wages.

Workers of Kouhdasht factory in the city of Saqez protested their 10 months delayed wages on Monday, December 30 for the second time and did not attend work.

Several laborers working in Shah-kouh mines in the province of South Khorasan also protested their 3 months unpaid wages.

A group of workers at Loushan Cement Factory in the city of Rasht protested outside the governor’s office on Sunday, December 29against the closure of the factory.

On Saturday, December 28, workers of Sahand Azar Company in the northeastern city of Miandoaab staged a strike complaining their 6 months delayed salary. The workers on strike also demanded return of laid-off workers.

People of Saleh Shahr City in the province of Khuzestan closed Shoushtar-Dezfoul highway on Saturday, December 28, to protest against regime’s refusal to complete the project of rebuilding this highway. Last week 8 were killed and injured in an accident that occurred on this road.
