Mohiuddin Ebrahimi 1

Mohiuddin Ebrahimi, a Political Prisoner; Five Other Prisoners, Executed, a Total of 73 Executions Between Feb 20 and March 17, 2023

The Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran announced the execution of a Kurdish political prisoner from the city of Oshnavieh by the regime’s henchmen in Urmia central prison. The party wrote that this bloodthirsty regime should be removed from the world. Mohiuddin Ebrahimi was shot by guards during his arrest in October  2017 and was seriously injured. He was executed after five and a half years in prison, despite domestic and international appeals. The regime’s security forces refused to hand over his body to his family, fearing public protests.

Additionally, five other prisoners were executed in Urmia today. The victims’ names are Ashir Abbas Nejad, Jahanbakhsh Radlouei, Hassan Omari, Yasin Rashidi, and Mohammad Ayoubbian.

Tasnim News agency also reported on March 17, 2023, that the prosecutor of Lorestan announced the execution of another prisoner in Khorramabad in connection with the murder of a police major of the state security forces.

From Feb 20 to March 17, at least 73 executions have been registered.

Regarding today’s executions, especially the execution of a political prisoner, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi stated that Ali Khamenei continues killings even on the eve of Nowruz. They executed seven prisoners, including one political prisoner, in Urmia this morning. The brave youth of our homeland, Iran, will not let these crimes go unpunished. Inaction vis-à-vis the regime’s torture and execution is a trampling of human rights values.
