Iranians in the capital Tehran last night went to their rooftops and streets to chant “God is great” and “Death to dictator.” The nightly protests continued from 22:00 local time to 22:30.
The protest chants were heard in various areas of Tehran, although much louder in Mirdamad, Seyyed Khandan, Sadeghieh, and Shahrake Gharb.
The suppressive paramilitary Bassij forces and plain-clothes agents patrolled Tehran’s main streets on motorcycles, trying to instil an atmosphere of terror among people. However, people refused to even acknowledge them and continued with their chants.
