Iran: More than 1,500 Sugar Cane Factory workers blocked the main highway to Shoosh

HaftpTapeh Workers' strike - File PhotoNCRI – The Haft-Tapeh Sugar Cane Factory workers at the end of their 6th week of strike over pay cuts blocked the main high way between the southern city of Shoosh and the factory.

This morning, desperate families of workers took to the streets and marched past the State Security Forces (SSF) – mullahs' suppressive police —headquarters chanting: "We are Sugar Cane Factory workers' families, we are hungry," "Children don't understand promises," "Our salaries are our inalienable right."

Thousands of workers, on strike for six weeks, demand their overdue salaries and demand the removal of the factory director general and the head of the security in the factory.

Failing to respond to the demands of the workers after six weeks, the regime has resorted to brutal suppression of the workers.

The workers finally introduced their representatives to begin their syndicate despite threats to their lives. This came following a voting on the grounds of the factory from some 3,000 workers present on a secret ballot to elect the first members of the syndicate's management, according to the Resistance sources in Iran.
