Hossein Ebrahimi warned that during the national uprising of the Iranian people, which he described as “chaos,” the “groundwork” was prepared for the PMOI’s activities, and they “take advantage of every opportunity that they get.”
The same website also quoted a member of the clerical regime’s parliamentary committee on Domestic Policy as saying, “Circumstances are in a way that the [PMOI] has found a footing to resurface, and this is a significant development.”
He said: “We have 70 million people [in Iran], and there may be members of such groups among them. … Unfortunately, we ourselves have created a foothold for these people to show themselves.”
