NCRI – Hundreds of workers of the agro-industrial complex of Mahabad, north-west Iran, have been camping outside the complex for nearly two weeks in protest to their overdue wages.

According to one of the protesters, the workers of the agro-industrial, livestock and industrial, Homa and Zamzam complexes have not received their salaries for the past 14 months. During this period, only some provisional amounts have been paid to them but the majority of their wages and interests remain unpaid.

Most of these workers, who began their protest 12 days ago, are unable to meet their daily living costs and are grappling with many problems.

The workers are protesting their ill treatment and have vowed to continue their demonstration until the regime’s local and provincial authorities address their situation.
