Exiles stage rallies to support people’s protest in Iran

In Denmark, supporters of the Iranian Resistance gathered in front of the Amnesty International headquarters in Copenhagen and set up a pictures gallery to depict the bravery of the Iranian people in the face of clerical regime’s wave of suppression and crimes against the youth. They carried placards reading, We condemn the massacre of Iranian youth by the clerical regime’s henchmen."

The demonstrators also honored the memory of Sohrab Aarabi, a young man recently slain by the regime.

Greeted by local residents, demonstrators demanded the Danish government and other governments to end ties with the clerical regime and increase political and economic sanctions against the regime.

In city of Arhus in Denmark, protestors set up a picture gallery regarding the role of women and youth in the uprising. They also condemned the mullahs’ suppression and called for severing of ties with them.

On Thursday at a rally held in Sweden, Iranians chanted against the massacre in Iran and called for the closure of the Iranian regime’s embassy in Stockholm. The protest was simultaneous with a EU foreign ministers meeting in Stockholm. Demonstrators called on the EU to end its deals with the Iranian regime. Other chants in the Stockholm rally included, “Death to dictator," and “Shah Sultan Velayat [Ali Khamenei], the time for your demise has come.”

In London, Iranian Resistance supporters gathered in front of the Iranian regime's embassy in Britain and protested against the brutal suppression of the people at the hands of the mullahs’ suppressive forces.

They carried pictures of those slain during the protests, including Sohrab Aarabi, an 18 year-old, and Neda Agha-Soltan, a 27 year-old student. They chanted, "Death to Khamenei,” and “Death to dictator.”

In Canada, protesters gathered in front of the parliament building in the capital Ottawa to echo the demands of people protesting inside Iran.

In the US, Iranians gathered across from the Iraqi embassy in Washington and also the White House to continue with their ongoing protests. Across from the Iraqi embassy, demonstrators protested the Iraqi government’s siege on Camp Ashraf, where close to 3,400 members of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) reside, and demanded the acknowledgement of its residents’ rights.

Across from the White House, Iranian exiles marked their 168th day of protests in support of Ashraf and the nationwide uprising of Iranian people. They chanted, "Death to Khemenei,” “Khamenei shame on you, let go of absolute rule,” and “Death to dictator.” They called for support for the uprising in Iran.
