NCRI – An Iranian regime diplomat has defected from his post in Italy and is seeking political asylum in France, according to the Associated Press on Sunday.
As an attempt to downplay the defection and prevent similar moves in the future, the faltering regime claimed in its press reports that he had merely “transferred his post.”
A state-run news agency Raja News said on Monday that Ahmad Maleki, the first secretary of the regime’s consulate in Milan, has “transferred his post” but admitted grudgingly hat he is seeking “political refugee status from France.”
