Sunday Protests in Iran

Scammed account owners who fell victim to the Caspian Investment Company held a rally in front of the Central Bank building in Tehran to protest that their complaints have still been unaddressed and justice has been denied after 5 years.

On Sunday, people of the city of Rameshk, Southeastern Iran, gathered to protest the confiscation of their lands by the IRGC and closed the road leading to the mine. Accordingly, security forces were dispatched to the region and clashes broke out. The Revolutionary Guards, who took the lands from the Baluchi locals five years ago, promised them to pay a share for the profit it reaps from their land but eventually, the IRGC refused to pay the locals. The IRGC also refused to employ the Baloch locals at this workplace and it has only hired those who are affiliated with the regime.

Workers of Haft Tappeh Sugar Cane company organized their thirteenth day of strike in front of the governor’s office in the city of Shush. After the rally, workers marched in the streets chanting slogans against the government of Ebrahim Raisi and called them ‘thieves’.

This morning, retirees from the cities of Ahvaz and Isfahan staged a rally. Retired personnel of the Steel Fund continued their protest to demand an increase in their salary and the establishment of welfare services.

Speaking to state-run TV channel one, Mohammad Eslami, head of the regime’s Atomic Energy Organization, said: “Our enemies put a lot of pressure on the IAEA. The mercenary hypocrites (an acronym for the People’s Mojahedin Organization) go to great lengths and are constantly feeding deceptive information to the IAEA, and they are always producing information against our country. The IAEA constantly takes these into account and examines them, and we are constantly being questioned.”

Mohammad Eslami added: “We tried to set up a new approach with the Agency and we asked them to limit the political issues as well as the influence that these destructive systems create. We told them that it cannot go on like this. We asked them what would be the last day and the last page that they want to address and when all this ambiguity is going to stop?”

During this interview, the head of the AEOI also acknowledged that the regime has already exceeded 120 kg in uranium storage with 20% enrichment.
