Iran: Four suppressive centers targeted by defiant youth


A branch of the so-called “Martyrs Foundation” in Tehran was set on fire on September 20 by brave and defiant youths. The mullahs’ regime uses such sites to steal money from the already impoverished Iranian people.

While many Iranian regime’s officials warn about the explosive state of the society and try to contain daily protests through repression and recent executions of political prisoners, four suppressive centers affiliated to the Revolutionary Guard (IRGC) have been targeted in the past few days by defiant and rebellious youths.

The execution of Navid Afkari, an Iranian wrestling champion arrested during the major Iran protests in 2018, shocked the international community. In an article for United Press International (UPI), former Member of the European Parliament, Mr. Struan Stevenson, described Navid’s execution, despite international outcries against it, as sign of the regime’s desperation and stupidity.

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/ MEK) announced on Tuesday, September 22, 2020, that the number of Coronation fatalities in 440 cities had exceeded 107,500. The number of victims in Tehran is 25,839, Khorasan Razavi 7,902, Isfahan 5,169, Lorestan 4,818, East Azerbaijan 3,238, Golestan 3,021, Alborz 3,017, West Azerbaijan 2,836, North Khorasan 1,889, Zanjan 1,021, Ilam 899, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari 821, and Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad 770.

Torture More Extensive Than Reported, Following Iran’s Nationwide Uprising

On Sunday 20th of September, the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) released a report detailing some of the torture experienced by Iranian activists who were arrested during the country’s mass uprising last November. The report effectively acts as a supplement to a more extensive one released by Amnesty International at the beginning of the month, which pointed to 7,000 arrests leading to many well corroborated accounts of beatings, electric shocks, stress positions, mock executions, and more.

WHAT ARE THE IRAN PROTESTS OF 2019?

Wednesday, September 23, 2020, marks the 312th day since the beginning of the nationwide Iran protests.

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) has identified 755 of the more than 1500 protesters killed by the regime so far.

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) has called on the United Nations to urgently send an international fact-finding mission to Iranian prisons to meet with the detainees.
