Among Political Prisoners in Tehran
At least 20 political prisoners detained in November 2019 protests have been infected with OVID-19 in the Greater Tehran Penitentiary. Limitations have been implemented for these prisoners in calling their families to prevent the news from leaking out.
These prisoners who are held in the prison’s Section 2, have been experiencing symptoms such as fever and chills, dizziness, body aches, headaches, diarrhea and severe vomiting since Thursday, November 29.

Imprisoned Workers’ Representatives Start Hunger Strike in SW Iran Prison
Four imprisoned Haft Tappeh Sugarcane Company workers have started a hunger strike in protest at their unlawful detention. The four men who represented the workers were arrested at their homes on October 29 and detained for “disrupting public order” and were interrogated without access to their lawyers. According to the Telegram channel of Haft Tappeh Sugarcane Company workers, the men, Yusef Bahmani, Hamid Mombini, Massoud Hayouri and Ebrahim Abassi have been transferred to Dezful prison on the order of the judiciary after being detained for three days.

At least 4 million students in Iran are deprived of education
November 4 marks the day of primary and high school students in Iran.
On November 4, 1978, Iranian high school students gathered on the campus of Tehran University to express their protest against the Shah. But university guards opened fire on them, killing around 60 and wounding hundreds. As we are honoring primary and high school students in Iran on this day, millions of Iranian students, primarily girls, are deprived of education.

Iran: Coronavirus Catastrophe – Fatalities Exceed 140,600 in 462 Cities
The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI / MEK) announced this afternoon, November 2, 2020, that Coronavirus has taken the lives of more than 140,600 in 462 cities across Iran. The death toll in various provinces include: 34,071 in Tehran, 10,622 in Khorasan Razavi, 7,809 in Isfahan, 6,122 in Mazandaran, 6,025 in Qom, 5,968 in Lorestan, 4,917 in East Azerbaijan, 4,137 in West Azerbaijan, 3,905 in Alborz, 3,750 in Hamedan, 3,688 in Fars, 3,801 in Golestan, 3,003 in Kermanshah, 2,555 in Kurdistan, 2,324 in North Khorasan, 2,276 in Yazd, 2,152 in Semnan, 2,152 in Markazi (Central), 1705 in Hormozgan, 1,320 in Zanjan, 1,154 in Ilam, 1,129 in South Khorasan, 1,014 in Kohgiluyehn and Boyer Ahmad.

Containing Coronavirus or Public Outrage: Tehran Imposes Martial Law
On November 2, Iran’s coronavirus daily death toll hit a new record with 440 fatalities. However, medical sources believe the actual number is much higher than official statistics.
Since the beginning of the health crisis, the Iranian opposition People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) frequently rejected official death counts as “fabricated numbers.” In this respect, the PMOI/MEK gathered and published separate statistics through its vast domestic networks throughout the country.

Why Has Vegetable Oil Become Scarce in Iran?
These days, the shortage of vegetable oil and long queues for purchasing has become one of the important talking points among citizens in Iran. Iranian media report edible oil is scarce, and its prices have doubled. However, Deputy Trade Minister Yazdan Seif claims that “there is an abundance of oil in the country.”
In response, the Secretary-General of Food Wholesalers’ Union Qassem-Ali Hassani mocked Seif’s claim. “There is no [vegetable] oil with the 470,000-rial [$1.5] price listed on the product bottle for the consumer. However, there is an abundance of 1.07-million-rials [$3.5] vegetable oil,” Hassani said.

WHAT ARE THE IRAN PROTESTS OF 2019?
Tuesday, November 3, 2020, marks the 347th day since the beginning of the nationwide Iran protests.
The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) has identified 755 of the more than 1500 protesters killed by the regime so far.
Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) has called on the United Nations to urgently send an international fact-finding mission to Iranian prisons to meet with the detainees.
