Iran Uprising at a Glance – Day 73

Today, Sunday, November 27, students at Allameh, Khajeh Nassir, Melli and Amir Kabir universities in Tehran, and Azad University in Sanandaj held protests and sit-ins, chanting “students rather die but will not accept humiliation.”

Defiant youth used Molotov cocktails to target the bases of the IRGC’s paramilitary Basij, and the regime-sponsored seminaries, as well as torching regime’s billboards, posters of Khamenei and Qassem Soleimani, the eliminated commander of the terrorist Quds Force, in Tehran, Hamedan, Ahvaz, Sheiban, and Kut Abdullah in southwestern Khuzestan province, Malayer, Ziba Kenar and Lowshan in the northern Gilan province, Yazdanshahr in Isfahan, Mashhad, Tabriz, Yazd, Karaj, Sari in northern Mazandaran province, Anar in Kerman province, Abdanan in Ilam province, Ardabil, Zahedan, Sarbaz, Iranshahr, Bandar Abbas, Rafsanjan, and Juneqan.  They also blocked highways in several cities.

In Sanandaj, western Iran, students, and professors at the Islamic Azad University — Sanandaj Branch — have begun their rallies on Sunday morning local time, protesting the regime’s continuing crackdown measures. They were chanting “Political prisoners must be released!” and “College students rather die than live in infamy!” Similar rallies and boycotts were reported at Tehran’s Amir Kabir University and Khajeh Nasir Toosi University.

In Isfahan, activists are reporting that truck drivers in the Shapour district have launched a strike. Truck drivers in Bandar Abbas, southern Iran, were seen continuing their strike for a second consecutive day. In Marand, northwest Iran, truck drivers joined the strike.

Iran Revolutions Enters 72nd Day as Unity Escalates Against the Regime

Iran’s uprising is marking its 72nd day on Saturday as people throughout the country have been joining in solidarity with their brave Kurdish compatriots in the west and northwest areas, and the Baluchi community in southeast Iran. Despite the fact that authorities are increasing their lethal crackdown measures, with more attacks against peaceful demonstrators taking place on Friday against locals in Zahedan and other cities of Sistan & Baluchestan Province, the Iranian people are refusing to stand down and are relentlessly pursuing their anti-regime protests.

“Referendum and Reform Are the Regime’s Trick,” Iranians Chant – Day 72

On Saturday, November 26, 2022, citizens chanted, “Referendum and reform are the regime’s trick,” addressing so-called politicians and individuals who promote a referendum instead of a revolution. In his today’s meeting with Revolutionary Guards Basij forces, Ali Khamenei described the people involved in protests as “misled, ignorant and mercenaries.”

He again called hundreds of thousands of protesters “rioters and terrorists,” emphasizing they should be punished. Indeed, he left no way for citizens to meet their demands but to exercise their right to self-defense.

Hanover, Germany—November 23, 2022: Iranian Resistance Supporters Rally in Support of the Iran Protests

Hanover, Germany—November 23, 2022: Freedom-loving Iranians and supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) held a rally in solidarity with the Iranian people’s uprising.

In their demonstration in Hanover, Iranians demanded the overthrow of the mullahs’ regime with slogans, including, “We support the uprising of the Iranian people from Zahedan to Tehran and Kurdistan.”

Geneva, Switzerland—November 24, 2022: At the same time as the 35th special session, the UN Human Rights Council, freedom-loving Iranians and supporters of the Iranian Resistance (NCRI and MEK) gathered in front of the European headquarters of the United Nations in Geneva to support the nationwide uprising of the Iranian people.
