Sunday Protests in Iran

Today, retirees from the steel industry in Isfahan and Tehran, as well as pensioners from the Social Security of Kermanshah, Arak, Shush, Karkheh, and Haft Tapeh, Ahvaz held protest rallies, expressing their outrage at the inadequate living conditions and the lack of response to their demands.

Also today, a protest rally was held by nurses of the Medical Sciences University, demanding changes to tariff and salary policies and the payment of overdue wages for overtime work.

Municipality workers in Zahedan, Sistan and Baluchestan province, held a protest rally, demanding the payment of overdue wages.

Why Iran’s Regime Invests So Much in Demonizing the PMOI

On Tuesday, November 14, a briefing session was held by a group of members of the House of Representatives in the United States Congress. The subject of this session was the demonization campaign against the Iranian Resistance, including its history, dimensions, and objectives. During this session, the book Iran: The Ayatollah’s Hidden Hand, written by Professor Ivan Sascha Sheehan, was introduced. This book explores the regime’s covert activities aimed at striking at its main opposition. At the beginning of the session, Tom McClintock, a member of the House Judiciary Committee, in response to the reason behind such a volume of demonization against the Iranian Resistance, stated: “It’s important that we understand how the Iranian dictatorship has been able to manipulate the media, how it has insinuated itself into academia, and how it has ingratiated itself with governments that frankly ought to know better.

The combination of poverty and soaring education costs has led some parents in Iran to make the difficult decision of withdrawing their children from school. Instead of pursuing education, these children are often compelled to either work to contribute to the family income or embark on learning a trade.

Conversely, parents who prioritize their child’s education face a substantial financial burden. The expenses associated with school services, providing meals, purchasing clothing, buying school supplies, bags, and shoes, along with financial contributions demanded by public schools, have contributed to the rising number of students discontinuing their education.

Iranian Nurses Demand Their Unpaid Overtime Fees, Bonuses, and Tariffs

Iranian nurses have protested many times in different cities in protest against non-payment of their overtime work, bonuses, and tariffs. Saturday saw protests by nurses in Sanandaj and Saqqez, in Kurdistan province.

Last weekend, November 18 and 19, Iranian nurses held protests in various cities, including Tehran, Rasht, Yazd, Arak, Eslamabad-e Gharb, and Kermanshah.

Nurses must do overtime work for low fees. They receive only 1.9 million tomans for 130 hours of overtime work. Iranian nurses complain about voluminous work, insufficient payment, past-due bonuses, and unjust tariffs.

Paris, France—November 24, 2023: Freedom-loving Iranians and supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) held a photo exhibition in solidarity with the Iranian Revolution and commemorated the martyrs of the nationwide uprising of the Iranian people.

MEK supporters in Paris demanded the trial of the mullahs’ regime leaders, especially Ali Khamenei (Supreme leader of the mullahs’ regime) and the mass murderer Ebrahim Raisi for crimes against humanity, in an international court.

French citizens visited the photo exhibition and expressed their solidarity with the Iranian Revolution.
